The idea was to create a character who watches TV along with viewers from inside the tube. She hosts the block, introducing the shows and vamping for about 6 minutes per hour. I convinced the network to build a state of the art motion capture studio and we churned these out at the rate of 13 minutes a day for five months. Unfortunately production problems made it difficult to do the stuff we really wanted to do (e.g., no interaction with props, yada yada) and we had trouble coming up with scripts that satisfied the educational consultant. We had a number of other problems too so I got fired, the writer got fired, the producer got fired, the next producer got fired and the project was eventually canceled. But it was fun while it lasted.
